We provide support for people with a long-term health condition which is affecting their work options, and help them to achieve their vocational goal.
Our occupational therapists (OTs) offer assessment, advice and treatment to help people across Dorset with:
– remaining in a current job or exploring alternative work options
– returning to paid work, voluntary work or education
– taking up training opportunities for employment.
We take a person-centred approach, offering workplace visits, one-to-one sessions, group work and workshops according to individual needs. If you would like to access this service, please speak to a healthcare professional. We also accept referrals from employment services.

This unique Project offers adults with learning disabilities the opportunity to be involved in the production and service of hot school lunches for King’s Park Academy in Boscombe. For almost 20 years we have worked in partnership with the school and developed a quality service, highly valued by the school and local community. With a dedicated key worker for each client, our experienced staff team provide support, training and guidance to promote independence, help people grow in confidence, and to gain new skills. Setting up the dining area
Working with other adults
All staff are committed to supporting diversity by ensuring all ages, sex, race, disability, sexual orientation, ethnic origin, religion, or spiritual diversities are always acknowledge and respected.

The CRUMBS Project is a charitable foundation dedicated to supporting disadvantaged adults by providing learning and development programmes which enable them to develop a wide range of professional and life skills, increase their confidence and self-esteem and to prepare for employment and independent living.
We support adults with learning disabilities, mental health issues, stabilised addictions, or brain injuries to learn employment and life skills through professionally recognised training in food production & service, housekeeping or administration and provide opportunities for trainees to achieve Institute of Hospitality endorsed awards.
WISE Ability support people to engage in education and training opportunities, job opportunities and how to go about getting work, through our independent and high-quality Information, Careers Advice, Guidance (IAG), and Counselling. We concentrate on those who are not in education, training, or employment, including people with learning difficulties, disabilities and other disadvantages.
As part of our range of services, including Skills Support for the Workforce (SSW), WISE Ability provides support for people who are interested in study and completing qualifications, to either bring them closer to employment or to progress within their current employment.

Redlands is a provider of high quality, accessible counselling, counselling training, personal skills training and related services. These services are all provided by a team of dedicated and experienced counsellors and trainers who are all members of the British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP).
Counselling can be an effective way of helping with any difficulties or problems you may be experiencing in your life, including anxiety, stress, depression, relationship problems, bereavement, redundancy.
Redlands offers counselling at convenient locations across Dorset through its network of qualified counsellors and also through Redlands Community Counselling Service.

The café can be used as a training facility for women in our care, many of whom have very low self-esteem and limited cooking skills. Here they can gain their Food & Hygiene certificates and build their confidence through hospitality skills.
Current services:
-FREE 1:1 support with a trained support worker – 12 month program where we get alongside each beneficiary and use Individual Support Plans to help you get through whatever you’re going through. Sessions last from 30-45 minutes.
-We provide FREE weekly lunch from the café for our beneficiaries
-We signpost to various organisations/counsellors
-We provide training on site in both our café and IT room. This may include training in Food/Hygiene certificate, help with CV writing, help using IT etc.
-We provide a befriending service where befrienders get alongside our women, providing a listening ear and or helping with practical issues, such as escorting our beneficiaries to court, taking them to the Foodbank etc.
-Thursday sessions for craft/chat

The Wiltshire & Dorset Deaf Association , usually shortened simply to ‘WDDA‘, was formed in 2004 and aims to offer a range of services to ensure that deaf, deafened and hard of hearing people in Dorset and Wiltshire enjoy equal access, opportunity and have the same independence as hearing people.
WDDA offers a range of training courses, including deaf awareness, communication tactics and British Sign Language.
WDDA also aims to provide information about the services available across Dorset and Wiltshire, to offer assistance and act as an advocate in the campaign for equal access for all.
