AbilityNet offer guides on step by step instructions on how to adapt your phone, computer or tablet to meet your needs. You can search for a specific need (e.g. making text larger) or filter the guides based on your symptoms (e.g. hand tremor) or condition (e.g. dyslexia).
We Are Digital is providing Digital Support for those who don’t have access or are not confident using digital services. Our company is a social impact company whose entire remit is helping others. We are here to provide information and support so people can fill out HMCTS forms online.
The services we support:
You can speak to our Digital Champions over the phone on the Dorset Digital Hotline. Call us if you need help using the internet, your computer, mobile phone or tablet. We offer digital support for a wide range of issues, no problem is too small.
We want to help our customers and their friends and family be confident using the internet, not only for banking, but for other things too. So, in partnership with the Digital Helpline we are offering free 1-2-1 training sessions. These sessions are tailor-made to your needs, so you can start with the basics of how to charge a device, turn it on and connect to the internet, right through to Internet Banking.
You can learn to:
Call the Digital Helpline to have an initial chat and they’ll try to help with any queries there and then. Or they’ll book in a phone call or video call depending on your skills. Booking in a call for up to 2 hours can give you time to learn at your own pace.
Digital Wings, by Barclays is designed to give you the knowledge and confidence to do more with digital.

Tech Buddies are volunteers in our libraries who can help people use their computers, tablets or smart phones.

Digital Champions are people of all ages and from all backgrounds and communities.
They help others understand the benefits of using the internet and can show them how to do simple things online that can make a huge difference to people’s lives.

ORCHA is one of the leading providers of Health and Care App evaluations and reviews.
An App Library is a place where you can find health or care apps and digital health products that can support you with your health and wellbeing. You can read detailed information about each app or digital health product, based on tests (assessments) carried out by ORCHA. Your healthcare provider or organisation can see everything in the App Library if they have a Pro Account and suggest or recommend an app for you. Or you can browse the App Library and select one or more apps for yourself. An App Library makes it easier to make sure you are downloading, or viewing the website of, the right app you want to use. We make every effort to make sure the App Library is up to date. To ensure this, all apps need to be assessed by ORCHA and updated at least once a year.
