With an educational approach driven by charitable action, our mission is to level the playing field for young carers by providing them with the support, friendship and opportunities that every child deserves.
Through our school support programme we’ll help to tackle issues like late arrivals, missing homework, bullying and much more. We’ll also help your school to set up a young carers network so you know who the other young carers are and can meet to connect with them.
Our Employability Programme runs over 6 face to face online sessions with our experienced careers advisor Emma Fry.
At MYTIME Young Carers, our Memory Making Days are the perfect way to let off some steam and move around. We offer lots of different activities like rock climbing, high ropes and bowling, and stays at our R&R Retreat Centre. MyTIME Charity and Outdoor Centre works to help 100s of heroic young carers across Dorset and the UK to take a break and have some well-earned fun for themselves! We have built a community so that young carers do not feel alone and forgotten, and are able to connect with others in a similar position, sharing experiences, finding support, and receiving mentoring and education.

Young people cope with the stresses and strains of life in different ways.
Growing up in the 21st century is not always easy. We aim to equip young people to have the resources, tools, support and information they need to build resilience, learn how to deal with difficult emotions and live a mentally healthy life.
From education programmes and support groups, to information and resources to help enable young people to look after their mental health from an early age; DMYH is here to help.
In addition to this, our whole-school approach also helps parents and teachers; and we have support options for young people who can’t attend school due to their mental health.
Whatever you’re going through, a Samaritan will face it with you. We’re here 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.
Talk to us any time you like, in your own way, and off the record – about whatever’s getting to you. You don’t have to be suicidal.
Childline is yours – a free, private and confidential service where you can talk about anything. We’re here for you online, on the phone, anytime.
We are a national charity working to transform the hopes and happiness of young people facing abuse, exploitation and neglect.
If you are a young person after some advice and resources or looking for how to connect with other young carers, you are in the right place. Young carers can find information about their Rights and access online media/videos for support.
Free, safe and anonymous online support for young people. This online platform allows young carers to chat to counsellors, read articles written by young people, get support from the online community and write in a daily journal. Kooth also an ‘in crisis’ section with contact details for emergency situations.
Young people using the site are able to access a range of support services including one-to-one counselling sessions, discussing issues with your peers through online discussion boards, reading and contributing to self-help content and recording your feelings via journals and goal trackers. The online nature of Kooth means that you can access help in a way that is most suitable for you, at a time that is convenient for you, 365 days of the year.
We aim to help as many young carers as we can. We help them look after their loved ones and give them time to enjoy their childhoods.
At our services across the UK we:
Mosaic offers a pathway of support and guidance for bereaved children, young people and their families. We also offer support to those facing the death of a loved one. Children are encouraged through story-telling and creativity to manage their emotions safely. Our Residential Camps allow children and young people to remember their special person, share their experiences and have some fun. Mosaic also offers bespoke training to professionals working with bereaved children and young people.

Young carers are children or young people aged between 5 and 18 who provide significant, regular or ongoing care and emotional support to a family member who is mentally ill, physically ill or disabled. As a young carer you must be giving support and help on a regular basis. We will assess any young person who meets our eligibility criteria to see what kind of support you need.
Our support includes:
-providing respite and time out from your caring role, such as organising activities for young carers during the school holidays
-signposting to any extra support that you as the young carer, or the cared-for person needs such as agencies
-acting as an advocate in school if necessary
-offering one-to-one support where appropriate
