The Citizens Advice service offers information and advice through face-to-face, phone and email services, and online via Adviceguide.org.uk.

We can provide clients information on their rights, responsibilities and options on many different issues.

Get help applying for Universal Credit by phoning the Citzen’s Advice helpline: 0800 1448 444. Support is usually available Monday to Friday, 8.00 am to 6.00 pm.

Our Legal line provides legal information and general advice on mental health related law. We’re open 9am to 6pm, Monday to Friday (except for bank holidays).

BH Support provides a free consultation offering a safe environment to help plan the route to resolution with expert by experience peer support and subject matter experts. With a fuller understanding of the support required we are able to indicate a time frame and associated cost, based upon an affordable hourly rate.

Use our emergency helpline 0330 175 5121 during opening hours if you are homeless, have nowhere to stay tonight, are worried about losing your home, or are at risk of harm or abuse in your home.

Use our online advice if you want a quick answer, want to know your housing rights, or want to find your next steps.

Our legal team can help you if you are eligible for Legal Aid, for example, if you need to go to court about a housing problem or to challenge a council’s homelessness decision. To speak to the legal team you will need to make an appointment. If you would like to make an appointment with the legal team in Bournemouth, please call 0344 515 1777 between the hours of 9:00am-5:00pm, Monday to Friday. Please note that this number is for new legal appointments only.
